Before you start
- At least one kept promise
Steps
- Filter the list. Use All kept, Open, Past due, Blocking a deal, Mine or No owner, then pick a team or account and press Apply. Sort by exposure or by due date.
- Read a row. Each row shows the ref, the promise, the account, the owner, the amount Exposed, the linked work, the due date and the state, such as 3 days late or not told.
- Open a promise. Press the ref. The page holds the evidence, the money, the work, what we told them and the history.
- Link work or move the date. In the Work panel, type a key such as
ENG-284orowner/repo#42and press Link work. In Decide, move the date with a reason, assign an owner or Withdraw.acme/api#42
What success looks like
- The filter shows the rows you expect, with the count beside each tab
- A promise page shows linked work and a history line for each change
Troubleshooting
- A promise you kept is missing
- Exploratory promises stay off the ledger. Check All kept, then search the inbox history.
- The state says no date
- Move the date from the promise page. Lateness is worked out from the due date each time the page loads.
