Outcomes
Compare closed deals whose promises were kept with deals whose promises were not, at the moment each deal closed.
Transcript, 30 seconds
What happened to the deals your promises were blocking?
Outcomes joins each closed deal to its promises at the moment it closed.
Compare win rates with kept promises and without.
A rate shows only once each side has ten closed deals.
Open a side to see every deal and the state of each promise.
Before you start
- A connected CRM, or deals confirmed on Connect, with some deals closed won or lost
- Promises marked as blocking those deals
Steps
- Open Outcomes. Press Outcomes in the sidebar, under Revenue. The heading states the win rate with kept promises and without, once both sides have enough deals.
- Pick the period. Choose Last two quarters, Last quarter or Last 12 months in the tab strip.
- Read the comparisons. Win rate, deals with a blocking promise; Renewal rate by kept rate before renewal; and Close rate by days from merge to told. Each shows the count of deals on both sides.
- Open the deals. Press a side to list its deals. Each row shows the outcome, the deal, when it closed and the state of every promise at close: kept on time, kept late, broken or open.
What success looks like
- Each comparison shows a count of deals on both sides
- The deal list shows the state of each promise at the moment its deal closed
Troubleshooting
- A comparison shows counts but no rate
- A rate shows only when a side has 10 closed deals or more. Pick a longer period.
- Connect a CRM to see what happened to each deal
- Outcomes needs closed deals. Connect HubSpot, Attio, Salesforce or Pipedrive, or confirm the deals read from your mail on Connect.
- You read the page as proof that keeping promises wins deals
- It does not say that. It sets deals with kept promises beside deals without them, and says with and without, never because.
